Send An Adult To Congress

One of my unofficial campaign slogans has been “Send an adult to Congress” and I think I should probably elaborate on that.

An adults is someone who…

  • Shows up and does their job

  • Faces and makes hard decisions

  • Knows when and how to make compromises

  • Rises above partisanship

  • Manages money wisely

  • Identifies and commits to priorities and sees them through

  • Celebrates what is right

  • Handles their business

  • Cares about other people

  • Appreciates other’s struggles

  • Is more interested in the state of the Nation than the own notoriety

So the question is: which of our current Representatives are acting like adults? If you are not sure just look at the past few week’s proceedings in the U.S. House of Representatives.
